Essaouira is worthwhile and an interesting place. Essaouira is home to a huge beautiful sandy beach with several water sports and sand sports offerings.
There is also its colorful, lively harbor and a really pleasant, quiet medina. The old town (medina), designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, is a popular tourist destination and is famous for its many riads (a type of bed-and-breakfast).
