So why visit Helsinki? There is plenty to do, see and explore in the Finnish capital. The city is a hotspot for design and architecture, and its aesthetically pleasing, lively neighborhoods (like the Design District) are a major attraction for many visitors. Helsinki does not get all the press other Scandinavian cities receive, but it is still worth a visit (especially if you are in the area as it is only an hour from Tallinn, Estonia or an overnight ferry ride from Stockholm)
